A few years ago, I started on making this series called "Wasteland" where I was going to illustrate the various reviewers of (and beyond) That Guy With The Glasses in a cyberpunk, post apocalyptic setting.
I focused first on the ones I liked the most or had the best ideas of what I could draw them as. One of which was Jew Wario, whom I got a great idea for this fictionalized self of him from his love of the Kamen Rider series when I hung around his streams for a bit. And I worked on making a great picture for him, but ultimately fell like I fell short of the mark.
I started this redesign of the character a while ago, but found it hard to stay with it, so progress on this inched forward painstakingly slow. I at one point send a preliminary outline of it to Jew Wario, but no response came my way, so I decided to keep it under wraps until it was finished.
Two weeks ago, I had the time to complete it, but because of being wearied by the changes in my life (new college, new career focus, and a feeling of a new beginning), I didn't get back to the designing the last part of the drawing.
I learned today of his passing, and while it probably would not have changed the events much, I do feel at a loss that he never got to see the completed piece.
Fight on, Jeweegee, to a place where depression cannot hope to touch you.
It's okay. Better now then later.
amazing. I hope he has a good internet connection wherever he is, to see this
This is a great picture. However it is also how I just found out about Jewario's death, so theirs that. Oh we'll. Life keeps chugging on. R.I.P Jewario. May we never forget you.
He would love this picture! RIP Justin A.K.A. JewWario.
Today is a sad day. We've lost a fantastic actor and he will be forever missed. May his spirit keep entertaining in the Other World. RIP Justin.
He was one of my favorite reviewers. RIP Justin.
