Wasteland - Marzgurl

Description

Now, I know what you're thinking...

"Hey, this girl is too tall to be Marzgurl!"

To which I respond:

I imagined Marzgurl in the Wasteland universe as a very lonely figure...being a girl trying to make a day to day living working at a pawn shop in Oasis; a newly built, heavily technology laden city with very little moral compass.

It's an average day, working at the pawn shop with her co-worker/friend, when the routine rotation of stock suddenly ends in her being kidnapped and brainwashed. She lost the life she knew beforehand and was forced into the mold of a corporate tool, forced to 'tie up loose ends' for the big name foreign companies that moved into Oasis to profit off of rebuilding a nation, and having an ample supply of 'willing' test subjects. She was no longer herself, she was a member of a legion of soulless mercenaries.

-As such, she's been implanted with neural implants that keep her from remembering her past, in order for her to do her job with more efficiency...and she's undergone surgeries to augment or replace certain areas of her body.

The survival rate of the surgeries like this, due to the massive amounts of surgery in a short time...is minimal. Being such, 'operatives' like Marzgurl are in short supply (despite the vast numbers of operatives made in Oasis, most of them are shipped into other territories to help the company expand its reach, MG however is not one of those shipped out operatives)...meaning she never has a shortage of 'clean up' operations at home.

Her weapons of choice are beam weapons...in this case, machetes, made to hack apart her 'objectives' and sear any identity off of the remains. The beam weaponry works off of a battery pack shaped like two sheaths bolted together. Both blades have different outputs and have been codenamed for their specific distinctions.
She can, if she so chooses to also use her jetpack in very much the same fashion.

So, to be perfectly honest, the design was kinda brought on by the need for a foil for Jew Wario's Wasteland design...and I wanted to have some references to Casshern, but still keep the design somewhere in the ballpark of being able to stand out as wholly different than Jew Wario's, but not impossible...

I do have another drawing of this which I'm not as fond of, but it shows you what MarzGurl would look like with the helmet on and the swords out. You can find it below.

So this has a primary focus on TGWTG, it's not limited to TGWTG only.

Kind of weird how each of the members of the site survived the Apocalypse. Anyway great job on this series and... I'm wondering how JesuOtaku, Phelous and the Critic would look in this series?
